General information
Our z/OS products are mainly developed in PL/I as well as C and REXX and are therefore independent of the z/OS release level. They use documented standard interfaces such as Language Enviroment, DB2, RACF, IZWS PIF, TCP/IP, VSAM, BSAM and QSAM, whose compatibility is guaranteed by IBM . This means that our programs are compatible with all supported z/OS versions and guarantee smooth operation without any known limitations.

Compatibility information
This overview informs you about the technical requirements and compatibilities of our HORIZONT z/OS software solutions. Here you will find details on the supported hardware, the compatible z/OS versions, the required IZWS load modules and the compatibility of our XINFO with DB2 versions.
Please ensure that your system environment meets these requirements to ensure the optimal operation of our software. Further information and detailed technical specifications are available via the links provided.
Hardware compatibility
- HORIZONT z/OS software requires at least models 2817-xxxIBM zEnterprise 196 (z196)) and 2818-xxxIBM zEnterprise 114 (z114)), corresponding to ARCH level 9.
- From Q4 2025, the required minimum models will change to 2827-xxxIBM zEnterprise EC12) and 2828-xxxIBM zEnterprise BC12), corresponding to ARCH level 10.
- Newer z-Systems models are backwards compatible with earlier models and the HORIZONT software is compatible with newer z-Systems models.
z/OS compatibility
- All maintained HORIZONT z/OS software products support z/OS 2.5 and z/OS 3.1.

IZWS support
- The IZWS-related HORIZONT support several IZWS releases. Each IZWS release requires specific charging modules; HORIZONT provides new charging modules to support new IZWS releases. Further details can be found at:

DB2 compatibilityXINFO and SmartIS in US)
- The XINFO Application Server on z/OS supports DB2 versions from V10 to V13 for all maintained XINFO.
- XINFO DB2 Scanner:

XINFO 4.2 and 4.3 support DB2 versions from V10 to V12. Fix 2023-04-05 or newer is required for compatibility with DB2 V13.

XINFO 4.4 supports DB2 versions from V10 to V13.
